BIO
Tommy Reddicks was born in Mesa, AZ, grew up in Wheatland, Wyoming, and is currently the Chief Executive Officer for Paramount Schools of Excellence in Indianapolis, IN.
As a graduate of the University of Wyoming, Tommy taught music in public, private, and charter schools between 1995 and 2009. In 2002, Tommy began writing educational units for the National Core Knowledge Foundation. Since that time, he has presented in numerous National Conferences on unit writing and curriculum design. In 2009, Tommy moved to school administration at Knowledge Quest Academy in Milliken, CO. Soon after, he accepted a position as school director of Paramount School of Excellence in Indianapolis, where he resides as CEO today. Tommy Reddicks has worked in Charter Schools since 2001. He has served four different charter school systems in two US states. He has also been part of three separate Charter School Start-ups, growing a vast array of experience in the growing field of charter education.
Tommy serves on the board of Felege Hiywot Center, Purdue Extension Marion County, and the Brookside Neighborhood Association.
AUTHOR
Tommy is the Co-Author of Lead From the Start, a book published by Solution Tree designed for new school leaders and transitioning school principals. He has also published The Insane Book of Riddles Codes, and Secret Math with Dogear Publishing. This collaborative effort (with his daughter Madeline) features 200 original riddles with answers found through 20 codes and ciphers, vocabulary words, and hundreds of math problems. Tommy has also written a collaborative Sci-Fi novel connecting ancient Egyptian origins to ancient alien conflict, and that project pairs with his original digitally-enhance miniatures board game, Vigilant Veil.
MUSICIAN
Tommy has been composing music and playing the saxophone since he was 9 years old and still composes out of his home music studio. He released the CD, "Time & Space" in 2012, and his 2015 CD release, "A New Dimension" can be found here.
ARTIST
Tommy has overseen the creation of the Paramount Peace Park adjacent Paramount School of Excellence on the Near Eastside of Indianapolis. The park features two of his installations, and countless other local artist installations. Visit here for more of Tommy's art info.
CHEESE MAKER
Tommy is also an active cheese maker. He specialize in French Washed Rind and Aged Goat cheeses. His most famous goat cheese, "Gnarly Val", has been produced at Paramount Schools of Excellence and is for sale in the Indianapolis community. You can see his work at www.cheesedesert.com.
GAME DESIGNER
Tommy formed the group Alien Thinkers in 2015. From that start, his late wife Kelly, daughter Madeline, and a team of top artistic and editorial talent have been hard at work preparing to Kickstart their first game, Coffin Up. This zany game features a pop culture spin on the undead and blends some heady strategy with a heft dose of funny antics. The game will go public in 2018, and will be followed with Vigilant Veil, a digitally enhanced interactive role playing miniatures board game, driven by the novel of the same name.
FILM ENTHUSIAST
Tommy has produced many fun film shorts, has a vast array of Youtube credits. His largest effort was his New Dimensions project which captured 11 Colorado State Parks in 3D to his original soundtrack.
